Thomas Hardy Official 1968 Festival Handbook

 

The handbook of the very first Thomas Hardy Festival in Dorchester, it contains extended essays on Hardy by contributors such as J.O. Bailey and the Society's first president – the Right Hon. Harold Macmillan. It also contains contemporary material by Sigfried Sassoon and members of Hardy's family.
